This report outlines key aspects of the EU’s financial support in 2023 for international partnerships, humanitarian aid, foreign policy and enlargement. It reflects the important support provided by the EU to address the global and regional consequences of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, to tackle various other global challenges, and to implement the Global Gateway strategy. In 2023, the EU also continued implementing a long-term agenda aligned on the Sustainable Development Goals, guided by a vision of sustainability and partnership. In this report, you will find many positive examples of EU-funded interventions in Europe and across the globe that illustrate the EU’s continuing efforts to deliver results. The EU and its Member States, through a ‘Team Europe’ approach, will continue to harness all the power of international partnerships to fight inequalities, support a global recovery and build a more sustainable and inclusive world for all.
