Advancing responsible supply chains

Overview

The overall objective is to strengthen responsible business practices in Japan and ist partner countries by enhancing the capacity of states and businesses to adopt and implement relevant standards.

Key activities include:

  1. Supporting states in developing and implementing contextualized National Action Plans on Business and Human rights
  2. Strengthening capacities of businesses to develop and implement human rights policies and human rights due diligence processes in the framework of the UNDP B+HR Academy
  3. Strengthening capacities of businesses to engage stakeholders in their human rights due diligence processes meaningfully, focusing on rights-holders at heightened risk of vulnerability and marginalization
