Building Capacities for Trade Transnistria

Overview

The objective of the project is to ensure improved livelihoods for people on both sides of the Nistru River through enhanced trade and cross-river cooperation.

This project supports the development of an enabling environment (including capacity development and regulatory measures) for cross-river cooperation and the integration of exporters. It will continue expanding the access of Transnistria enterprises (particularly SMEs) to export promotion mechanisms on the right bank, as well as provide tailored support and build necessary skills, taking into account specific needs of current and future exporters from the region. 

Example activities of the project are:

- Business development support to companies to increase exporting capacities

- Establishment of exchange platforms between companies and civil society organisations

- Training of companies and business associations on the different support provided by local governmental institutions
