Enhancing the competitiveness of Ethiopia’s horticultural sector (MAHEBER)

Overview

The project aims to strengthen Ethiopia’s horticultural sector, contributing to economic growth, food security, food safety and nutrition, and sustainable development.

The activities of the project include:

  1. Strengthening the capacities of private sector operators (MSMEs and producer groups) to compete in domestic, regional, and international markets
  2. Enhancing the enabling environment of Ethiopia’s horticultural sector to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of Ethiopian-origin products
  3. Identifying and addressing bottlenecks affecting the competitiveness and sustainability of horticultural exports through enhanced policy dialogue and public-private collaboration
