Green Transition - Implementing Industrial Emissions Directive in Serbia

Overview

The project aims at enhancing the prevention and control of industrial emissions in Serbia to reduce the impact of industrial emissions on the environment and human health.

To achieve this, support is provided to competent authorities and companies in the implementation of industrial emission control and green industrial transition directives, including the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) Directive and the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED).

Key activities include:

  • Technical and administrative support to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and other competent authorities
  • Development of new business models to support the industry in reducing their carbon footprint by applying cost-effective and clean technological solutions for the transition towards the European Green Deal
  • Cooperation with environmental inspectors
