Overview
The aim of the course is that staff in supplier or manufacturing companies understands HREDD processes, their impact and benefits and are prepared to apply them in their organisational contexts.
Designed for those in supplier or manufacturing companies seeking to understand and implement HREDD, this eLearning covers the key concepts, regulatory expectations, and practical steps for mitigating human rights and environmental risks in global supply chains. With interactive content, case studies, and practical guidance, this course allows to progress at your own pace while gaining actionable insights into effective HREDD implementation. The course is divided into different modules, taking around 4-6 hours to complete:
- Module 1: lays the foundation, introducing HREDD principles, relevant legislation, and the key risks and impacts involved
- Module 2: focuses on the due diligence process, from embedding Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) to risk assessment, impact mitigation, grievance mechanisms, and ongoing monitoring
- Module 3 [Optional]: offers country-specific case studies, providing real-world insights into HREDD implementation in selected countries (currently lessons are available for Cambodia, Turkey, Pakistan, Serbia, Vietnam, Mexico, Tunisia, Bangladesh)
- Module 4 [Optional]: explores responsible contracting as a key tool to support HREDD efforts
- Module 5: concludes with a final assessment, summarizing key learnings and outlining next steps for action
