Overview
The objective is to improve environmental and social risk management in small agri-food processing businesses in the Sahel.
The key purpose of this guidance is to provide information on the implementation of eco-responsible communication as an important step in the sustainable development approach of the agricultural and agri-food products sector. As the public is increasingly aware of the environmental and social impact of companies, the promotion of sustainable development within agri-food processing chains helps to build a long-term relationship of trust with organisations' members, employees, customers and, more generally, their stakeholders. Greater trust therefore fosters an environment conducive to business development and performance. Country-specific guidance documents exist for Chad, Senegal and Mali.
Although the Hub ITT project has ended, the developed guidance documents remain available as useful resources.
