Overview
The main objective of the project is to enhance the economic, ecological, and social conditions in the Mauritanian mining sector.
The project advises national government agencies on:
- Strengthening the capacity of local businesses to supply goods and services to the extractive sector.
- Enhancing the capabilities of vocational schools to train skilled workers with up-to-date knowledge.
- Improving working conditions and environmental sustainability in artisanal gold mining.
- Promoting transparency and good governance in the extractive sector.
