Overview
The project has three objectives:
- Support governments in developing or implementing National Action Plans
- Enhance capacities of stakeholders to implement due diligence
- Facilitate sharing experience and best practices
The project works in three components:
- Supporting the development and/or implementation of National Action Plans (NAPs) on Business and Human Rights: This component aims at promoting inclusive multi-stakeholder processes for the development, implementation and evaluation of NAPs, promoting the alignment of policies/norms related to business and human rights with international standard, and strengthening the access to effective remedy.
- Supporting human rights due diligence: This component includes facilitating peer-to-peer dialogue/learning among businesses, civil society, affected communities, and business associations among other actors, developing human rights due diligence materials/tools.
- Supporting regional platform through multi-stakeholder consultation: Activities in this component aim at promoting peer learning and sharing of experience among relevant actors, taking stock and incentivising progress among countries and business of the region, and promoting the participation and collaboration among key actors.
