Labour standards in global supply chains - an ILO training module for SMEs and other enterprises

Overview

The objective of this training is to equip SMEs and other enterprises with the knowledge and tools to understand, implement, and demonstrate compliance with international labour standards.

This training module helps enterprises, in particular small and medium-sized ones (SMEs), to understand the origins of international frameworks on responsible business practices as well as the code of conduct for suppliers and audits. It informs on the different areas these practices cover and what enterprises can do to improve and demonstrate their adherence to international principles and compliance with national law and corporate codes. The training also demonstrates that respecting workers’ rights and improving working conditions can be part of competitive business strategy to join the ranks of employers that enjoy a good reputation among workers and business partners.
