Overview
The objective of the project is to reduce poverty through increased productive employment opportunities and sustainable income growth in target sectors with high development potential.
The program collaborates with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as larger companies operating in export-oriented sectors with growth potential. Priority is given to the agricultural sector due to the number of poor people working in agriculture and the sector’s importance for inclusive economic development, poverty reduction, and economic transformation.
The target groups include underemployed, unemployed, unpaid workers, self-employed people, women, and refugees with limited access to productive employment. The MDTF provides technical and financial assistance, along with capacity-building support, to help companies identify export opportunities and meet consumer demand.
Until 2029, four calls of application are expected to apply for technical and financial assistance. Applications can be submitted via the online platform.
