Overview

The program aims to catalyse market-system changes that increase incomes, employment, gender equality and environmental regeneration for people living in poverty in Western and Southern Rwanda.

It applies a gender-transformative and regenerative business approach to reduce poverty, advance gender equality, regenerate the environment and increase resilience. The program promotes nature-positive economic opportunities that benefit both the target population and the natural landscapes that sustain them. It works with market actors to strengthen distribution and aggregation networks and expand access to products and services. The program collaborates with private-sector partners to identify, catalyse and scale systemic solutions, supporting new and adapted business approaches linked to gender equality and environmental regeneration. It also facilitates skills development and regenerative practices that contribute to improved livelihoods and resilient economic opportunities. Through these activities, ReGenerate aims to achieve long-term systemic change and nature-positive income generation in the target regions.
