Responsible Business Fund Plus (RBF+)

Overview

RBF+ promotes inclusive growth of agri-food MSMEs within local agricultural value chains, strengthening their economic resilience and environmental sustainability by increasing their competitiveness and responsible behaviour.

RBF+ is a four‑year matching‑grant initiative (2024–2028) to support agri-food small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and upstream agricultural MSMEs in Myanmar. It offers partial grants (up to 50% of project cost, capped per thematic area) alongside technical assistance to adopt environment‑friendly technologies and improve business practices.

RBF+ targets three outcomes:

  1. Enhanced capacity of MSMEs/suppliers to deploy sustainable inputs;
  2. Strengthened local agricultural value chains; and
  3. Expanded access to domestic and export markets via business associations and importers.

Funding is available for the following areas:

  1. Modern inputs and technologies for farmers
  2. Technology localisation for agri-food MSMEs
  3. Energy efficiency and renewable energy
  4. Water efficiency
  5. Waste treatment and recycling
  6. Occupational safety and health
  7. Food safety and value added production
  8. Agri-food MSME participation in trade fairs
  9. Knowledge sharing for farmers and agri-food MSMEs
