Overview
RBF+ promotes inclusive growth of agri-food MSMEs within local agricultural value chains, strengthening their economic resilience and environmental sustainability by increasing their competitiveness and responsible behaviour.
RBF+ is a four‑year matching‑grant initiative (2024–2028) to support agri-food small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and upstream agricultural MSMEs in Myanmar. It offers partial grants (up to 50% of project cost, capped per thematic area) alongside technical assistance to adopt environment‑friendly technologies and improve business practices.
RBF+ targets three outcomes:
- Enhanced capacity of MSMEs/suppliers to deploy sustainable inputs;
- Strengthened local agricultural value chains; and
- Expanded access to domestic and export markets via business associations and importers.
Funding is available for the following areas:
- Modern inputs and technologies for farmers
- Technology localisation for agri-food MSMEs
- Energy efficiency and renewable energy
- Water efficiency
- Waste treatment and recycling
- Occupational safety and health
- Food safety and value added production
- Agri-food MSME participation in trade fairs
- Knowledge sharing for farmers and agri-food MSMEs
