Overview

The overall objective is to strengthen national social protection systems in Senegal and Burkina Faso.

The key activities in Burkina Faso include:

Operationalise the institutional and technical architecture of the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (UHIP).
Facilitate the extension of health coverage to workers in the informal economy and their families.

The key activities in Senegal include:

Strengthening the capacities of institutional and technical actors and provide the necessary tools for the implementation of the Simplified Social Protection Scheme for Workers in the Informal Economy (RSPC).
Gradually extend the physical and material scope of the Simplified Scheme for Small Taxpayers.
