Sustain Eco: Sustainability & Inclusion Strategy for Growth Corridors in Tanzania

Overview

The overall objective of the project is to promote sustainable and inclusive ecosystems, land and resource management, through improved coordination in governance structures and investment in ecosystem services.

The project largely focuses on capacity building. It provides training, facilitates consultations and provides incentives for beneficiaries. Key activities of the project include: 

  1. Strengthening the coordination amongst governance structures for sustainable and inclusive management of natural resources
  2. Establishing integrated landscape management in order to improve ecosystem health and generate inclusive business and livelihood opportunities, especially for women, youth and vulnerable groups
  3. Investing in the protection and restoration of ecosystems and their services, strengthening climate resilience for people and ecosystems
