Overview
The objective of the TFA is to catalyze the power of collective action to drive the world’s transition to deforestation- and conversion-free agricultural commodities.
Through its positioning within the World Economic Forum, TFA is an effective high-level convener and catalyst (not a direct implementer), supporting and helping coordinate actions through other organizations and initiatives. TFA’s role is to push leaders from industry, the finance sector, the public sector and civil society to increase their ambition and advocacy, and to raise the floor for all actors. As multi-stakeholder partnership, TFA’s mission is to mobilise collective action to drive the world's transition to deforestation-free supply chains, in support of the New York Declaration on Forests' goal to ensure zero net loss of forests by 2030.
How TFA works for systemic change:
- Engaging companies to translate commitments into action and disclose results.
- Engaging policy makers to facilitate the agricultural transition in producer countries.
- Encouraging financial institutions to mitigate deforestation risks, create investment opportunities and incentivize the implementation of company commitments.
TFA is open to matching members and partners. Please visit the project website or contact us to find out how you can benefit from this support.
