Overview
The objective of the project is to transition Albanian companies towards sustainable business practices to achieve positive impacts on sustainability and economic growth.
The SDG Business Partnerships and Solutions for SDGs project engages with private companies to foster more sustainable and responsible business practices. This is aimed at driving positive social, economic and environmental results. More specifically, the project enhances capacities and raises awareness in areas such as improved working conditions, waste managment, resource efficiency, recycling, and skills development, potentially leading to increased investment and trade. Companies led by women and young people are prioritized as beneficiaries.
The projet also engages other actors, including the Albanian government and academia. It provides policy support and facilitates dialogue between businesses and policy makers to create improved conditions for promoting the business environment and potentially boosting trade.
Example activities of the project are:
- Trainings on sustainable business practices
- Provision of exchange platforms with the national business community
