Paraguay and the European Union are hosting the EU-Paraguay Investment Forum on 24-25 June, 2025 in Asunción.
EU’s Global Gateway strategy is already advancing in Paraguay with the first projects established, providing examples and creating a favorable context for other projects. This event seeks to establish new collaborations between the EU and Paraguay by facilitating contacts between investment projects in Paraguay and EU investors, financers, and partners.
Objectives and focus sectors
The EU-Paraguay Investment Forum 2025 aims to promote European investment and trade flows with Paraguay by facilitating high-level dialogue, empowering business partnerships and unlocking opportunities under key Global Gateway priorities.
The forum is organised in close collaboration between the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the EU Delegation to Paraguay.
The event focuses on three key sectors:
Date & Venue
The event will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, from Tuesday, 24 June 2025, at 08:30 (12:30 CET) to Wednesday, 25 June 2025, at 17:00 (22:00 CET).
The working languages of the event will be Spanish and English. Simultaneous interpretation will be available on-site for all presentations and Q&A sessions.

Paraguay presents many opportunities for investments thanks to its political and economic stability and favourable business environment. International agencies have recently upgraded their ratings of Paraguay as an investment destination and the government encourages private foreign investment with attractive policies.
Paraguay is expanding its sustainable value chains in forestry, energy and transport and has a strategic location between large Latin American markets. The EU-MERCOSUR Association Agreement will further support export developments in Paraguay.

Activities
The Forum will comprise presentations and panel discussions from public and private actors on the focus sectors and sustainable financing opportunities for them.
A selection of reviewed investment project opportunities under the focus sectors will be presented in an investment pitching session and on digital exhibition stands.
The forum will facilitate a possibility to register for field visits to investment project opportunities.
In parallel to the forum sessions, participants can schedule matchmaking meetings with projects, companies, financial and government actors.
