Description
AccelerET contributes to more reliable, environmentally friendly and sustainable energy supply in Africa and the Asia Pacific region.
The guarantee serves to promote investment in, and access to, financing for energy utilities and independent power producers, to help countries accelerate the transition to the energy systems of tomorrow.
The EFSD+ guarantee will strengthen the market environment and mobilize private investment. This is achieved by de-risking AFD’s investments into:
- generation
- transmission and distribution
- storage
- energy efficiency
- creation of conducive investment frameworks
AFD provides loans directly to borrowers or via Proparco.
