Description

This programme supports investments that help expand smart and sustainable digital connectivity across Africa. Its main goal is to make digital services more inclusive, affordable, and reliable for people and businesses.
Projects will be carried out together with experienced IT partners and local organisations. This cooperation ensures that knowledge, skills, and technology are shared with local staff and companies, helping to build long-term capacity in the region.
All supported projects will follow EU quality standards and regulations, such as eIDAS, to ensure that the technologies used are secure, compatible, and scalable. This will also make it easier to connect with other Global Gateway initiatives in Africa.
