Digital content guidelines

As a European Union institution, we showcase our work through positive, inspiring and challenging communication, which is values-driven and impact-focused.

These guidelines cover content created for web and social media, but we respect a multichannel approach: content created according to these guidelines should be adaptable to other non-digital formats, including, but not limited to, op-eds, speeches, factsheets, publications and internal communications.

The guidelines are designed to support the Directorate-General for International Partnerships, EU Delegations and external service providers to produce powerful, contemporary and consistent digital content, which reflects the EU International Partnerships verbal and visual style.

They complement the EU International Partnerships Digital Style Guide (PDF - 6MB).

Photography

We look at the world with a journalistic, un-orchestrated and investigative eye. Powerful photography captures people’s attention and invokes emotion in the viewer.

Video

Whether human-centred or information-driven, video plays an important role in communicating not only what we do, but why we do it.
