Ellas+: Ensuring Women´s Political Participation. A Spanish cooperation initiative to support women´s active political engagement

The Ellas + Fund was created with the objective of promoting the effective participation of women in political life around the world and thus establishing, and also accelerating, women´s real leadership. More specifically, the fund will finance Projects in the following these lines of action:

Promote initiatives that allow women to participate in and benefit equally from governance systems.

Promote actions aimed at women strengthening their leadership and participation in decision-making spaces in public life.

Generate processes that influence the construction of legal frameworks to promote greater participation of women in democratic decision-making spaces, both at a central and decentralized level.
