The event discusses the implications of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine on energy and food security, industrial supply chains and environmental protection, and the role of the European Green Deal in addressing them.
In addition, the event will consider the impact of the military aggression on policy coherence, social protection and international cooperation, with key recommendations for the EU and developing countries.

The event builds on the findings of a policy brief published by the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG). The policy brief argues that the European Green Deal is the EU’s best policy tool to address the implications of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine domestically and in developing countries, while mitigating long-term climate-related impacts.
Speakers from the different European institutions and research centers will give their perspectives and valuable input and will seek to identify solutions and ways forward in response to the implications of the military aggression.
