Tackling the challenges of our pandemics era: the new Pasteur Network

Pasteur Network regroups 33 members present in 25 countries worldwide, mobilised to improve human health by fighting against infectious diseases through biomedical research, public health activities, training and innovation. Pasteur Network has designed a new governance organisation to face together the major challenges of the 21st century such as the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. We invite you to discuss the ongoing collaboration between the EU and Pasteur Network as well as the partnership opportunities deriving from this new dynamic and structuring logic.

The international network of Instituts Pasteur is evolving to become the Pasteur Network. This change does not just imply the name but much more a new governance. This new governance will be put in place, with the renewal of the association and the creation of a foundation housed at the Institut Pasteur (which will be intended to be a funding tool, at the service of the network), and a management committee, in which the main donors --including European Commission-- will be associated.

This meeting would be an opportunity not only to see the operational impact of such governance, but also to discuss the mechanisms to be put in place to convey needs in the field to donors - in particular via the management committee. The repositioning of the network internationally and the opportunities to be created (collaborations and funding) will also be a key subject.
