EU and Latin America build Renewed Partnership

News EU Latin America (lac)

The European Union and Latin American countries hold the EU-Latin America Dialogue on Regional Cooperation today in Mexico City. This open dialogue seeks answers on how the two regions can leverage their comparative advantages in the face of global challenges.

Guided by the priorities of the new European Commission, today’s discussion centred on how to foster the Green Alliance and promote sustainable growth and jobs. The international partnership with Latin America is key for the European Union and provides a unique space for institutional dialogue on shaping new forms of cooperation and partnership for the future.

Partnership means establishing innovative and flexible instruments of cooperation capable of offering effective responses to the multiple realities of development. It also means building on the strengthened capabilities of our partners.

Tomorrow, representatives from all countries in the region will discuss the Latin American Economic Outlook on Digital Transformation, governance, a developmental link between security and migration, followed by exchanges on experience with Innovative Partnerships and Triangular Cooperation.
