The Team Europe Initiative (TEI) on the development of Green Hydrogen in Chile, is a joint effort of the EU and its Member States to foster cooperation with Chile for the development of its renewable hydrogen economy.

Develop a modern and sustainable lithium sector, including a job-creating value chain, focusing on strengthening regulations, fostering scientific and technological collaboration, and reducing risks for EU private investment in lithium exploration and production.

Upgrade of 400km of transmission grid.

This Team Europe Initiative will develop an inclusive, sustainable and resilient economy. In 2023, the National Decarbonisation Strategy and a competition for ideas for green urban infrastructure projects will be launched.

Development of the Trans-Balkan Electricity Corridor for the creation of a regional power network connecting the electricity transmission systems of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia with those of Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Italy.

The project will focus on the implementation of mini-grids in rural areas in the South and West of Madagascar.

The project supports the construction of a first interconnection between Italy and Tunisia with an undersea high-voltage electricity cable. It will increase the security and the sustainability of electricity supply on both sides and will allow for better renewable energy integration.

Establish the first green hydrogen energy storage cell to store solar energy in the Caribbean contributing to renewable energy transition and grid stability.

Enhance and secure renewable electricity generation in DRC by rehabilitating the Ruzizi II hydropower plant and upgrading the common switchgear for hydroelectric power plants INGA I and II.
