Overview
In October 2023, the EU signed a strategic partnerships on critical raw materials value chains with Zambia. This resulted in a roadmap of actions setting out the implementation of the strategic partnership with Zambia to promote the development of sustainable raw materials value chains.
The roadmap is structured around the 5 pillars identified in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU):
- trade and investment facilitation
- infrastructure
- ESG standards
- research cooperation
- skills training / capacity building
