Overview
This project aims to strengthen the maritime connections between Mexico and Portugal and Europe by establishing a green and digital maritime corridor between the Portuguese Port of Sines and the Mexican Port of Coatzacoalcos, in the Gulf of Mexico. By means of the Interoceanic Corridor of Tehuantepec, that maritime corridor will also be linked with the Mexican Port of Salina Cruz, in the Pacific.
The maritime corridor is expected to transport in both ways containerized cargo, dry bulk, Liquefied Natural Gas and other energetic goods. This project contributes to the economic development of the regions crossed by the Interoceanic Corridor, to the development of the clean energies in Europe, and to the development of green transports.
