Overview
The flagship project consists in:
- improving the largest treatment plant in Cairo to increase overall treatment capacity
- developping a new source of water for standard agriculture and forestry applications (using the treated effluents)
- increasing the quality of life/health for surrounding and downstream communities (+785,000 inhabitants)
- contributing to the fight against climate change through the reduction in dependence on fossil fuels to run the plant.This project is co-financed with AFD
