Overview
This flagship project consists in investments in mobile networks covering rural areas, schools, hospitals, government sites. It contributes to fighting the digital divide and bridging inequalities.
In Tanzania, the project will contribute to improving networks' energy efficiency by replacing with the existing hardware with improved technology. The 4G technology will be deployed in around 3,000 additional sites. This will contribute to empowering Tanzania’s women and girls unlocking their potential to boost the Tanzanian economy.
In Madagascar, the project will contribute to updagrade Madagascar's mobile network and expand 3G and 4G infrastructure across the country. It will also contribute to the deployment of 5G in Madagascar.
