Lagos Inland Water Transport in Nigeria

Overview

​The aim of this project is to develop mass public inland waterways transportation in Lagos. The infrastructure investment covers the construction and upgrading of several priority routes as well as terminal and jetties. The operationalisation will ensure access is inclusive and safe including for women and people with disabilities. 

The overal objective is to decongest transport in Lagos from roads to waterways as well as improve urban quality of life. This project contributes to the strategic corridors and is designed to strengthen regional transport connections.
