Overview
This flagship project consists in an EIB framework loan to modernise the water supply and sewage services of Companhia Catarinense de Águas e Saneamento (CASAN), a public water utility of the State of Santa Catarina (Brazil).
The project will allow for the construction of new wastewater treatment plants and the expansion of services to unconnected customers, in line with Brazil's sanitation policy and legal framework.
Financing up to 50% of the underlying projects, the EIB's participation will help crowd in private sector capital, diversifying CASAN's funding mix.
