Overview
The TASUFIP program (Tanzanian Sustainable Urban Food Investment Program) aims to renovate eight food infrastructure facilities, including four markets (both wholesale and retail), three fish landing sites, and one slaughterhouse.
The renovation of these infrastructures is the central element of a broader program designed to enhance the overall efficiency of the food sector, address social, environmental, and gender issues, and implement appropriate operational structures to ensure their sustainability.
TASUFIP strengthens the strategic East African trade corridor by developing sustainable food system business in two key medium-sized cities (Mwanza and Tanga). Support is provided via investment grants, a loan and technical assistance.
