Approach and objectives
The regulatory landscape for human rights and environmental due diligence is continuously evolving to better protect people and the planet across global value chains.
At the heart of this transformation is the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), an EU framework that will shape how businesses, markets, and people interact within and with Europe.
Companies within the CSDDD’s scope will be expected to engage more responsibly with their global suppliers, driving momentum for sustainable practices and strengthening human rights and environmental standards.
The EU and its member states provide a wide range of initiatives to support human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD) in partner countries. The EU Due Diligence Navigator for Partner Countries is the TEI’s main tool – an online platform guiding stakeholders from partner countries to a vast array of available resources. In addition, a dedicated team of advisors provides personalised guidance to the most relevant support.
