2023 annual report on the implementation of the European Union’s external action instruments in 2022

This report outlines key aspects of the EU's financial support in 2022 for international partnerships and development policy, European neighbourhood policy, humanitarian assistance and civil protection, EU enlargement policy, peace, security and defence, crisis response and preparedness, human rights, and democracy, gender equality and support to EU foreign policy objectives.

It reflects the important support provided by the EU to address the global and regional consequences of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and emphasizes EU's continued support to respond to the persistent economic, social, educational and health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to the ongoing climate and biodiversity crisis.
