Evaluation of EU state building contracts (2012-2018)

This thematic evaluation examines the State Building Contracts designed and implemented globally by the EU during the period 2012-2018. In total 42 programmes are assessed across 23 countries, the majority of which in West and Central Africa.

Description

The evaluation provides an independent assessment of the extent to which the EU State Building Contracts contributed to the consolidation of Partner Countries' Governments’ core functions after economic or natural shocks, and/or when facing situations of fragility or extreme poverty. It identifies findings and provides conclusions and recommendations on how to improve the design and implementation of State and Resilience Building Contracts.
