Description

The evaluation report provides an independent assessment of the European Union's support to education in partner countries over the period 2014-2024. The evaluation covers support to education in external action with a focus on four priority areas:

  • safeguarding education financing
  • equity and inclusion, notably gender and digital
  • teachers and learning
  • skills for life and work, particularly in relation to the Global Gateway strategy

The evaluation does not cover Erasmus+ and TVET programmes in depth. The evaluation covers education-related interventions implemented in partner countries managed by DG INTPA - i.e. in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The evaluation also provides EU policymakers with recommendations for shaping future EU education support, taking into account major current and emerging trends in education.
