Joint strategic evaluation of budget support to Burkina Faso (2009-2014)

This joint strategic evaluation covers 38 budget support (BS) operations provided by nine Development Partners to Burkina Faso for a total amount of around EUR 1.5 billion. It includes an overall analysis of public policies, covering all sectors, and a more in-depth analysis of the development results, in terms of impact for the beneficiaries. Two main sectors are analyzed: health, and water and sanitation. The report explains how poverty reduction was less improved through the Budget Support activities than macroeconomic stability and reinforcement of transversal themes (civil society, gender).
