Description
This report provides an account of the main findings, recommendations, conclusions and lessons learned from the mid term assessment of the European Union (EU) Gender Action Plan III (GAP III).
The aim of GAP III is to accelerate progress towards gender equality and women’s and girls’ empowerment in the European Union external policies and actions.
The review focusses on GAP III policy and strategic framework, on the design and implementation of country level implementation plans (CLIPs), with also a particular attention to women’s economic empowerment (WEE) and to women, peace and security (WPS).
Case studies were conducted in Colombia, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Palestine, The Philippines, and Tanzania.
