Mid-term Evaluation of the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Stability and Addressing Root Causes of Irregular Migration and Displaced Persons in Africa 2015-2019

This thematic mid-term evaluation assesses the EU Trust Fund for Africa, with regards to the EU strategic support to regional stability and better migration management.

Description

The evaluation provides an independent mid-term assessment of 200 (out of the over 600) interventions financed from the EU Trust Fund for Africa between 2016 and 2019, to address the root causes of instability, forced displacement and irregular migration. As part of this evaluation, field visits were conducted in 6 African countries (i.e.Ethiopia, Libya, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, and Somalia), which were selected to ensure a representative coverage of the diversity of the EU Trust Fund interventions.
