The Global Green Bond Initiative (GGBI) is the EU’s flagship initiative under Global Gateway that aims to mobilise up to EUR 20 bn private capital for sustainable investment in EU partner countries through green bonds, while helping develop strong domestic green bond markets.

The Global Gateway is the European Union’s (EU) strategy to create stronger and cleaner links between Europe and the world. It focuses on five sectors: digital, climate and energy, transport, health, and education and research.
