External Evaluation of the European Union's Cooperation with the West Africa Region (2008-2016)

This independent evaluation provides a comprehensive assessment of the EU regional cooperation in West Africa, as implemented over the period 2008-2016 under the Regional Indicative Programme of the 11th European Development Fund. The evaluation also draws some lessons learnt and recommendations aimed at strengthening future EU cooperation in the West Africa region, especially in policies related to peace and security, economic integration, transport and energy interconnection, food and nutrition safety, sustainable management of natural resources and means for intervention on a regional scale.
