This country report presents results of a joint evaluation covering all Budget Support operations carried out in Sierra Leone by the EU, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the African Development Bank and the World Bank.

Description

This independent evaluation assesses how Budget Support in Sierra Leone has contributed to sustainable results on growth and poverty reduction. The evaluation addresses how Budget Support led to positive outcomes in macroeconomic management, public finance, governance and accountability, health, education and poverty reduction. It also considers the consequences of helping kick-start the growth process and to stabilise the post-war security situation by providing the means to implement Government policy and introducing technical assistance inputs in Budget Support.
