The European Commission has signed framework partnership agreements with five global associations of local authorities. The agreements support the role of local authorities and their associations in formulating policies to promote local, regional, and global level sustainable development.

Today, the transparency NGO Publish What You Fund (PWYF) has released the Aid Transparency Index 2022, an index which biennially assesses the transparency performance of some 50 major aid providers, including the European Commission, the European Development Bank (EIB) and EU member states.

Today, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, met with Leyner Palacios, Commissioner for the Colombian Truth Commission. The meeting coincides with the publication of the Truth Commission’s final report on the country’s internal armed conflict since 1958.
