Rachel is a refugee living in Ethiopia and an advocate for the education of girls, as one of the head teachers in the Nguenyiel refugee camp. She's part of the project Safe and quality education for girls and boys in displacement situations.

In Colombia, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a very negative impact on education. The children, including Venezuelan migrants, returnees and host communities are in urgent need of quality education programs.

Through the Education for Life programme, teachers are trained to pay extra attention to the most vulnerable children – who, for various reasons, are at extra risk of dropping out of school.
