Description
Forming part of a set of high-level Digital Alliance policy dialogues, the dialogue will centre on the areas of shared interest as outlined in the Conclusions of the Digital Alliance Days in Cartagena, Colombia in November 2023.
The policy dialogue in Costa Rica will focus on establishing a cooperation framework for cross-border interoperability and cross-border electronic identity. EU and LAC countries will share experiences in these two areas and collaborate to attain a shared understanding of the priorities.
The discussions will help to co-develop an agenda and roadmap for bi-regional cooperation between the EU and LAC in the policy areas outlined above to achieve policy-level agreements in time for the EU-CELAC Summit in 2025.
