Global Gateway är EU:s strategi för att främja smart, ren och säker infrastruktur för digital teknik, energi och transporter. Dessutom vill man stärka systemen för hälsa, utbildning och forskning runt om i världen.
Global Gateway ligger också helt i linje med FN:s Agenda 2030 och dess mål för hållbar utveckling samt Parisavtalet.
Målet för Global Gateway är att få fram upp till 300 miljarder euro i investeringar.
Genom en Team Europe-metod ska Global Gateway samla EU, medlemsländerna och deras finansierings- och utvecklingsinstitutioner för att mobilisera investeringar från den privata sektorn för projekt med omvälvande genomslag.
Vi genomför Global Gateway i form av projekt i Latinamerika, Karibien, Mellanöstern, Asien, Stillahavsområdet och Afrika söder om Sahara.

Today, a new Global Gateway energy flagship project was launched in Nepal with the inauguration of a 28 km extension of Chilime-Trishuli 220 kV double circuit electricity transmission line and sub-stations that allow distribution of electricity from hydropower.
