Description
The EPRM is a multi-stakeholder partnership working to increase the amount of responsibly produced minerals from areas that are affected by, or at high risk of, conflict. It is an accompanying measure to the EU Responsible Minerals Regulation, which calls on EU-based importers of gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten (3TGs) to demonstrate that they comply with international standards in responsible production and sourcing.
During the conference, participants will hear how the EPRM is delivering on its mission by:
- Catalysing collaborative action from governments, supply chain actors and civil society to create responsible mineral supply chains;
- Supporting Artisanal and Small Scale miners to gain access to formal local and international markets;
- Supporting companies to improve their due diligence practices through resources and capacity building;
- Linking upstream and downstream towards meeting the due diligence requirements of the EU Responsible Minerals regulation
