Description
Needs of rural women are largely underserved by financial service providers. CGAP and innovative financial and non-financial service providers from Africa explore possibilities to expand opportunities and resilience among rural women, as well as the food and financial systems around them.
Financial inclusion is a pathway to better livelihoods. DG INTPA is a member of CGAP, an inclusive finance think tank and donor consortium promoting access to finance across the world especially for the most underserved people, often women.
In this session CGAP will share insights from its research together with partners Wi-Agri and MyAgro, financial and non-financial service providers active in Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal. CGAP, Wi-Agri and MyAgro will share their experiences, challenges, and successes on working with women in rural and agricultural livelihoods (WIRAL) to increase their incomes and resilience, where agricultural development, digital technology, financial services, and gender intersect.To continue the discussion, you can join the Capacity4DEV group:
