The Youth Action Plan (YAP) in EU external action (2022-2027) reinforces the EU commitment to youth participation and empowerment. After one year of implementation, it is important to bring together youth, civil society and EU institutions to take stock of what has been done and reflect on the future.
The session will allow to have an overview of the EU youth programmes and actions put in place during this year.
Members of the EU Youth Sounding Board for International Partnerships will share their perspective on the YAP implementation.
Civil Society organisations will present successful case studies and recommendations from the paper "The Youth Action Plan. Now What? Insights from civil society on how to translate commitments to transformative action" published by a group of six CSOs (IPPF European Network, DSW, Plan International EU, the ONE Campaign, End FGM European Network and World Vision EU Representation).
The discussion will help take stock of a first year of implementation and look forward.
